STEVE HUDSON

Steve Hudson was born in London in 1969, and grew up in England and South America. He began writing, acting and directing whilst studying at Cambridge University.

After drama school in London, Steve worked as both an actor and director in Britain, Cuba, Belgium, Germany and Italy, where he spent a year under Polish director Jerzy Grotowski, the founder of the ground-breaking “Laboratory Theatre”. Since 1996, he has lived in Germany, where he got his first experience of writing, acting and directing for television and film.

Steve’s short film, Goodbye premiered at the Venice Film Festival in 2004, where it won the UIP Prize for Best European Short Film. Goodbye has since gone on to win over a dozen awards, including the German Short Film Prize in Silver, and was nominated for the European Film Awards 2004 in Barcelona.

True North is his first feature film.
